The Swiss arm of Aldi Süd. They import significant volumes of organic and private label goods from their German/Austrian supply chain, adapted for Swiss tastes.

Coop Genossenschaft

The other half of the duopoly. Coop is more open to international brands than Migros. They are pioneers in organic (Naturaplan) and fair trade, importing high-value gourmet foods and wines.

Switzerland's leading discounter (majority owned by Migros). Denner acts as a major independent importer of brand-name FMCG and is one of the largest wine retailers in the country.

A specialized importer of fine foods. Gerig is the partner for premium global brands like Kikkoman and Tabasco, supplying both retail and the foodservice industry.

The food halls of the Manor department store chain. They are a premium retailer, directly importing fresh fish, French gourmet products, and high-end wines.

Migros (Genossenschafts-Bund)

The largest retailer in Switzerland. Migros is unique for manufacturing much of what it sells, but it remains a massive importer of raw materials, fresh produce, and specific branded goods (via its subsidiary Denner).

A food group specializing in premium convenience and meats. They import raw meat and specialty ingredients for their manufacturing of Swiss delicacies (Bündnerfleisch) and pasta.

A division of Coop. Transgourmet is the market leader in cash & carry (Prodega/Growa), supplying the gastronomy sector with bulk imported meat, fish, and specialties.

The specialist for rural villages. Volg operates smaller stores and acts as a distributor for local agricultural products and imported daily necessities.
